Books Are My Bag Awards announced

The bestselling novel Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman has won this year’s Books Are My Bag Readers’ Choice Award it was announced at the awards ceremony on the 13th November. This is the latest in a line of accolades, which has also included this year’s Book of the Year at the British Book Awards. The book has also seen incredible sales and is currently the bestselling book of 2018 with figures in excess of 850,000 copies sold.

The awards are unique in that they are curated by booksellers, who put forward the shortlists, and voted for by the public. The exception is the Readers’ Choice Award where titles are both nominated and voted for by booklovers.

Outstanding Contribution to Bookselling: Vivian Archer, Newham Bookshop
